District 2
Reginald L. Moore
“Continuing the Legacy”
Reginald L. Moore is a second-generation county supervisor. Reginald was
appointed to the office in December of 2019 following the death of his father and
longtime county supervisor Mr. Robert E. Moore. Robert E. Moore had served the
county for over 27 years as Supervisor of District 2. During the calendar year of
2019, Reginald L. Moore successfully defeated opponents in the Democratic
Primary and in the General Election to succeed his father in being elected to the
office of Supervisor of District 2.
Reginald’s career of public service has spanned over two decades. He began his
service as an Electronics/Telecom/Y2K Biomedical Technician for Greenwood
Leflore Hospital. After several years in healthcare he transitioned into the
classroom as IC3 Certified STEM Instructor for the Leflore County School District
and did so for over a decade. Reginald was selected by U.S. Congressman Bennie
G. Thompson as a Field Representative for Leflore Co., Carroll Co., Montgomery
Co. and Grenada Co. While working for the Congressman, Reginald assisted
constituents and groups of constituents in resolving issues with various federal
and state agencies (USDA, EPA, DHS, SSA, DDS, etc.). Reginald always says that his
passion for service comes from being an educator, working in healthcare and
working in the 2 nd Congressional District of MS. It is because of these years that
Reginald knows how important public service is. His motto is the service that we
render to others is payment for our time on earth. If you call him, he will come.
That is “Continuing the Legacy” of service set forth by the late Mr. Robert E.
Moore.
